We Miss You Erin!

We miss you Erin! Thank you so much for making the long trip to Texas to see us! Well, Elodie has advanced leaps and bounds. You can ask her to do things or to go and get you objects and she does it. She knows how to hold the phone to talk. You can say "hello" and she puts the phone to her ear. She knows most of her body parts. When I ask her if she is hungry and would like to eat she runs to the highchair. When you ask her if she want to take a bath she runs to the bathtub. She repeats many of the words you say to her and gets pretty close to a good pronunciation for an 11 month old anyway. Her favorite word of the week is UhOh! She says it even when mama makes a loud noise or drops something UhOh! She knows people in pictures you show her. If you ask Elodie to get you the picture of Nana...she will bring you the picture of Nana! She picked up a scrub brush the other day and I asked her.."Elodie...are you carrying a brush?" she then started to brush her hair with it. I could fill an entire page of all the fun cute things she is doing now but I won't. I guess you can tell I am a bit proud to be Elodie's mom. Don't you just love her new back pack? She starts school (Mother's Day Out) in a few weeks and I thought she needed her first school bag. Three More Weeks Until She's "1"

Hi there! We are counting down the days until Elodie is "1". It is definately bitter sweet. Elodie is doing everything but reading and writing. She can play soccer...she enjoys kicking the ball. She can say "circle", "two", "banana" and the newest word she can say is "shoe". If you say one she'll say "two"! She runs more than she walks. Elodie loves to get everything out of the cupboards but she puts it all away and closes the doors. Usually she takes something off a shelf walks around with it and then puts it back the way she found it the best she can...or brings it to mama. It is so cute! Her latest thing she taught herself is how to spin. We put her in her pack and play and she spins around two or three times and then tries to walk but falls because she is so dizzy and then laughs...it's hillarious! We keep talking to her about her upcoming vacation to the beach. We even got one of her baby einstein movies that talks about the ocean hoping to prepare her. We can't wait!
